Peter & I met with the pediatrician yesterday and she thought Sammie's lack of sleep was related to the acid reflux. We called the specialist, found out the maximum dose and viola - she sleeps again!
What a difference a little sleep can make! I felt so relieved that the Sammie mystery was resolved and so appreciative that Peter was able to come and help us figure out the problem, that we baked him cookies today. I was making them with Sammie and was thinking . . . this is such a Betty Crocker moment with Sammie at my side coloring, what a blessed life we have, I am so happy to be here with my baby and she is so happy to just hang out by my side.
Sammie & I went to the mall this morning and she found the candy machines. She ran right up to them saying "Candy, Candy", but didn't throw a fit at all when I told her that candy was not ours :) Wonder when that one is going to change!
Sammie's funny of the day - Sammie is coming down with a cold, so we hung around the house all afternoon. Today Sammie has latched onto the word now - she loves to say it really slowly - nnnn-oooooo-wwwww. She laughs anytime she or I say it that way. Silly girl! When we were upstairs, she was looking at the cat and i was afraid she would "pet" her a little too hard, so i told her the cat was sleeping, so "shhhhh" be quite so kitty could sleep. She proceeded to walk over to Sheops and say "shhhhhhhhh sleeping" over and over to her; hence waking my poor old cat (17 yo). She said "shhhh" thought out the rest of the day and even told Daddy :) This is Sheops the cat
